How do I find Central Park Baptist Church?
The church is located on Central Park Drive in Central Park just outside of Aberdeen. The map at the bottom of the Contact page shows the exact location.
Where can I park?
There is ample parking at the church with several handicapped spaces available.
Nursery services are provided as needed. A Sunday School class for grade school children is held at the same time as the adult Sunday School class. Grade school children are invited to sit wth you during the service.
Before the service starts
Our sanctuary has rows of comfortable padded pews. You may sit anywhere as no seats are reserved. Each row has Bibles, offering envelopes, and visitor cards. Feel free to use them. There are also hymnals in each row, however lyrics to the songs are projected onto a large screen.
People will be greeting each other before the service. As you enter the church, you will receive a bulletin for that week. In it, you will find the schedule for that morning's service including the order of songs and sermon topic. You will also find information about special events and prayer needs.
What is the worship service like?
Our services are a time of joyful worship and praise with a variety of traditional and contemporary Christian music provided by our musicians and vocalists.
Lyrics to the songs are projected at the front of the sanctuary or can be found in the hymnal. We believe that God will lead you in the style of worship with which you feel most comfortable. There may be special announcements, videos, or musical solos.
How will I know when to stand?
Pastor Charlie or the worship leader will ask the congregation to stand or sit. Generally, we stand during opening congregation songs and during the invitation song.
Pastor Charlie gives timely Bible-based messages which last about 40 minutes. His messages are often laced with appropriate humor.
If you have a baby who is not comfortable or, if you need to nurse, the cry room is available.
Central Park Baptist Church encourages tithing. However, our guests are not expected to give anything. During this time, if you have filled out the visitor card found in the seat pocket, we ask you to place it in the offering .
After the service
Pastor Charlie enjoys meeting folks as they leave the church, so you will have an opportunity to personally talk with him if you wish.
